Investing in the Future of Logistics: How Atlantic Logistics Is Supporting FSCJ Students

At Atlantic Logistics, we see the future of transportation taking shape long before someone starts their first job. It begins in the classroom. Since 2021, we have proudly supported the Florida State College at Jacksonville Non-Endowed Scholarship Fund, helping students take meaningful steps toward careers in logistics and supply chain management.

For us, this partnership is about more than giving back. It is about building a stronger, more prepared workforce for an industry that quietly powers everyday life.

Opening Doors to Real Opportunities

The FSCJ Pathways to Work Scholarship Fund is designed to make education more accessible for students pursuing careers in logistics. Whether they are enrolled in the Logistics and Transportation Specialist Technical Certificate Program or working toward a Supply Chain Management Associate in Science degree, these students are gaining hands-on skills that translate directly into the real world.

A formal check presentation was held on November 8th 2021 at Florida State College at the Jacksonville (FSCJ) downtown Jacksonville campus to establish the Atlantic Logistics’ Scholarship Fund.

By supporting this initiative, Atlantic Logistics is helping ease the financial burden many students face. This makes it possible for them to focus on learning, growing, and preparing for what comes next.

Bringing Education and Industry Closer Together

We recently had the chance to welcome Dr. Susan Ambergey, Professor of Logistics, and Sandra Beck, Dean of Business, to our office, and it led to some great conversations. Together, we explored new ways to support students not only during their time at FSCJ, but also as they transition into the workforce.

It is clear that businesses have an important role to play here. From mentorship opportunities to career guidance and hands-on exposure, stronger connections between education and industry can make a real difference.

When It All Comes Full Circle

One of the most memorable moments from the visit was seeing Dr. Amburgey reconnect with Adam Zimmerman, Senior Logistics Specialist, now part of our team and once her student at FSCJ.

Moments like that are a powerful reminder of why this work matters. Supporting education does not just help students in the moment. It creates lasting impact, shaping careers and strengthening the industry as a whole.

Looking Ahead

We are committed to continuing this journey by supporting programs that empower students and help move the transportation industry forward. Partnerships like the one we share with FSCJ allow us to invest in people, ideas, and the future of logistics.

We are excited about what is ahead and look forward to finding even more ways to support students as they step into their careers.
